It’s time to buy $GOOGL $90.50
Yes, they only grew revenues by 7% in the September quarter, the slowest since 0% in the June 2020 qtr during the Covid outbreak. This does include the massive currency headwind, so it really isn’t all that bad considering the ad slump. Yes, YouTube revenues were down 2% year over year, again with a currency hit as well. Operating income of $17 billion was down from $21 billion the prior year. The company is still losing money in their cloud business, surprisingly, at $700 million per quarter and “other bets” lost $1.6 billion in the quarter. Most important, they see the need to restrain spending and headcount ahead and optimize profitability on projects. They are not doing a $META blowing $10 billion a year on the Metaverse which they can barely explain to investors the moat, at this juncture. And, btw, core Google search grew a few percent this quarter as well. So what is the set up to own this stock?
